Nursery
The nursery provides a wide variety of stimulating activities for the children including planned activities and those they have initiated themselves. The day is made up of music / singing, story time, indoor and outdoor play using the wide variety of nursery resources.
Staff record and monitor each child’s progress by observing and assessing their development through ongoing assessment. We use an online APP called Tapestry to capture children's learning and development which is shared with parents and is a 2 way method of communication. This allows parents to share their child's home learning with nursery.
The nursery is fully inclusive and through activities, resources and displays, we ensure that our wider community and British values are at the core of all we do at nursery.
The children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace and the child’s happiness and welfare comes first at all times. The nursery work hard to develop strong links with parents and carers.
The children are supported by their key person. All of our staff are qualified to level 3 and are experienced practitioners within the EYFS. The children have the choice of a very wide range of toys, resources, craft materials and activities. Through play, each child is encouraged to try new activities, build friendships, be creative, play co-operatively, develop independence and express themselves with confidence.
Our curriculum prepares our children for their next stage of education with a focus on cultural capital and the essential knowledge they need to prepare them for their future success.
